Waggoner Financial is an advisory firm based in Lansing, Michigan. It provides wealth management, accounting, and comprehensive financial planning services to clients in 35 states and internationally. Waggoner also develops data-driven investment strategies to support informed financial decision-making.
Financial advisory firms often work with large amounts of financial and economic data but lack an efficient way to transform that information into professional visualizations for their clients. Existing tools offer limited customization or require advisors to use multiple platforms to gather data, create charts and prepare presentations.
Our Waggoner Chartbook: Financial Data Portal addresses this challenge by providing a centralized web application where financial advisors can access macroeconomic datasets, create customizable charts and organize them into branded, presentation-ready chartbooks for clients.
The platform integrates financial data from different sources that users can collate to build charts, compare series and organize visuals into chartbooks. The web application includes a chart builder assistant powered by a large language model which helps aggregate data from different sources to create customizable charts.
The platform also features a financial news feed and an economic calendar with upcoming market events and data releases.
Finally, the platform provides client firms with customizable dashboards with their own branding for quick access to recent activity and saved work.
The front end is written in TypeScript using React and Next.js, while the back end is built in Python with the Flask framework. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase. The chart builder assistant is powered by Anthropic’s Claude, and the full system is deployed on Railway.
