Edison Engineering Development Program

Summary:

Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a 2-2 1/2 year entry-level engineering program committed to the development of people with a passion for technology and a drive for technical excellence. Through intense technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments, technical and business skills are developed. EEDP graduates have the technical and business foundation to make innovative contributions that help save people's lives.

Position Description:

EEDP members at GE Healthcare experience technically challenging rotations that are driven by innovation. EEDP members are working to develop cutting edge technology in the medical diagnostic imaging, molecular imaging, ultrasound, critical care, nuclear medicine, surgical navigation systems, and monitoring product areas that support our Early Health vision. EEDP members learn how GE approaches the design of products using Lean Six Sigma methodology. They work closely with employees in manufacturing to introduce product designs into production and ensure that GE's products/services meet customer needs. The core engineering skills gained in assignments are enhanced through advanced courses in engineering. Leadership skills are developed through corporate and local courses. Experience and training combined with mentoring and guidance from assignment managers, prepares members with the technical skills and values needed to achieve a successful career in technology. We will be hiring to 5 ME; 7 EE; and 7 CE/CSE.

Basic Qualifications:

Four-year technical degree in Engineering, or higher, with a course of study in at least one of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or Physics. Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 (based upon 4.0 scale).Knowledge of advanced mathematics, including calculus and differential equations. Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing. Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms. Must be willing to relocate to Milwaukee, Wisconsin metropolitan area and be willing to move as business needs change.
