Position: Associate Programmer
Description: Provides challenging opportunities to contribute to important company goals such as increased sales, enhanced customer service, and expense reduction. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and supporting software for new and existing systems. Work may be required on all aspects of software development such as analyzing business and designing, programming, testing, and documenting software. On-site training will be provided.
Skills: The ability to analyze information and logically solve complex problems. The ability to learn and use new programming languages and new software development techniques. The ability to work on a team. The ability to communicate effectively.
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and related experience is desired. Desired majors: Computer Science, Information Technology, BIS, IS, MIS, Mathematics

Software Engineer
Boeing - St. Louis Software Engineering is seeking college graduates to staff existing and emerging programs. Responsibilities include (1) design, develop, integrate and test computer software programs for aircraft & missile programs, trainer programs, ground-based aircraft support programs or mission planning programs; (2) full life-cycle development and support of software programs delivered to our customers, from requirements analysis and definition through delivery and field support.
These positions will require working in a structured software development environment using a high-level language targeting an embedded real-time operating system such as VxWorks. In addition, experience in requirements analysis, design, and integration is required. A working knowledge of C++, C, is highly desired; knowledge of Ada and/or FORTRAN is a plus. Knowledge of several of the following subjects is also desired: Real-Time Simulation, Object Oriented Methodology, Structured Design, OpenGL, Graphical User Interface Design, Windows and Linux.
Familiarity with formal development processes and current software engineering topics such as the Software Engineering Institutes Capability Maturity Model Integrated is a plus. Must have strong inter-personnel and communication skills.
